stay green at santa barbara’s environmentally friendly hotel indigo

At the Hotel Indigo Santa Barbara at the State House, environmental responsibility is a major priority. We cherish the natural splendor of our beautiful Santa Barbara community, and we’re proud to do what we can to protect it. Please contact us for more information on ways you can save while taking care of our environment.

we’re one of very few green hotels

As a new hotel, we've had the opportunity to consider green initiatives in the design and construction of our facilities. Drought-tolerant landscaping reflects our attitude to remain in harmony with the environment, while complimentary bicycles encourage earth-friendly exploration of our beautiful city. Energy efficient fixtures such as double-pane windows and on-demand water heaters help to lower our carbon footprint. In addition, our cleaning staff use only eco-friendly products and all toiletries are natural and fragrance free. The hotel is serviced by an ionized water cleaning system and a filtered water bottle refilling station is also provided for our guests.

our car-free alliance

In an ongoing effort to reduce our carbon footprint, Hotel Indigo Santa Barbara partners with the Santa Barbara Car Free Project to offer a complimentary bottle of Smart Water and Santa Barbara Bar for guests who stay at the hotel car-free. As Santa Barbara's closest hotel to the Amtrak train station with public bus and trolley stops at the front door and nearby bike and foot paths to the beach and Stearns Wharf, Hotel Indigo Santa Barbara is the perfect car-free-lodging choice.
